I composed this prayer in ChaaruChaamara metre on Krishna Janmashtami of Shubhakrit (2022). CharuChamara means a pleasing chowrie/plume/fan. You can find such a quality in its rhythm!

नन्दनन्दनं सुरारिमर्दनं यदूद्वहं।
इन्दुसुन्दरं यशोधरासुनन्दनं घनं।
कंसपूतनादिदैत्यताडकम् सुतारकं।
गोकुलेश्वरं गुरुं हरिं वरं स्मराम्यहं॥

वासुदेवबालकं हलायुधानुजं अजं।
देवकीसुपुत्रकं सुभद्रकाग्रजं शुचिं।
बन्धनेऽर्धरात्रिकालजन्मकं शुभंकरं।
गोकुलेश्वरं गुरुं हरिं वरं स्मराम्यहं॥

अर्जुनादिपंचपाण्डवानुकूल्यवर्धनं।
वर्जिताघमष्टदारकेष्टशिष्टवर्तनं।
राधिकादिगोपिकामनोहरं विहारिणं।
गोकुलेश्वरं गुरुं वरं हरिं स्मराम्यहं॥

नन्दखड्गशार्ङ्गकौमुदीसुदर्शनान्वितं।
शत्रुभीकरं प्रतापिनं व्रजेश्वरं विभुं।
योगिनामधीश्वरं विनीलवर्णवर्चितं।
गोकुलेश्वरं गुरुं वरं हरिं स्मराम्यहं॥

सर्वशक्तिसंयुतं अनन्तसौख्यदायकं।
सर्वलोकपालकं अनन्तदिक्सुविस्तृतं।
अच्युतं अचिन्त्यरूपमन्तकालमुक्तिदं।
गोकुलेश्वरं गुरुं वरं हरिं स्मराम्यहं॥

गोकुलेशस्य कृष्णस्य पंचरत्नमिदं स्तवं।
यः पठेच्छुभमाप्नोतु वासुदेवप्रसादतः॥

nandanandanaṁ surārimardanaṁ yadūdvahaṁ |
indusundaraṁ yaśodharāsunandanaṁ ghanaṁ |
kaṁsapūtanādidaityatāḍakam sutārakaṁ |
gokuleśvaraṁ guruṁ hariṁ varaṁ smarāmyahaṁ ||

vāsudevabālakaṁ halāyudhānujaṁ ajaṁ |
devakīsuputrakaṁ subhadrakāgrajaṁ śuciṁ |
bandhane'rdharātrikālajanmakaṁ śubhaṁkaraṁ |

సర్వలోకపాలకం అనన్తదిక్సువిస్తృతం |

గోకులేశస్య కృష్ణస్య పంచరత్నమిదం స్తవం |
యః పఠేచ్ఛుభమాప్నోతు వాసుదేవప్రసాదతః ||

Meaning

Five-gem Prayer to the Lord of Gokula

Note: Gokula means Krishna's cowherd community as well as collection of senses

(1) Nanda's son, the crusher of the enemies of Devatas (i.e. demons), beautiful like Moon, wonderful child of Yasodhara, one who is deep and firm, the punisher of demons like Kamsa and Putana, I contemplate that lord of Gokula, who is the preceptor, the most excellent one and a form of Vishnu.

(2) Child of Vasudeva, younger brother of the plough bearer (Balarama), unborn one, good child of Devaki, elder brother of Subhadra, holy and radiant one, one who is born in a prison at midnight, one who causes auspicious things, I contemplate that lord of Gokula, who is the preceptor, the most excellent one and a form of Vishnu.

(3) One who promotes the favorability of Arjuna and other Pandavas, one who is devoid of impurities, one who has cultured conduct pleasing to eight wives, one who facinates Radhika and other Gopikas, one who strolls charmingly, I contemplate that lord of Gokula, who is the preceptor, the most excellent one and a form of Vishnu.

(4) One endowed with Nanda(ka) sword, Shaarnga (bow), Kaumudi and Sudarsana Chakra, one who causes terror in enemies, one who is majestic and strong, lord of the cattle shed, ruler, one who is supreme among Yogis, one who possesses a special dark color, I contemplate that lord of Gokula, who is the preceptor, the most excellent one and a form of Vishnu.

(5) One who possesses all abilities, one who bestows all kinds of comforts, one who rules over all worlds, one who is well-stretched in infinite directions, the imperishable one, one who has an inconceivable form, one who liberates in the end, I contemplate that lord of Gokula, who is the preceptor, the most excellent one and a form of Vishnu.

Final verse: Whoever reads this prayer of Krishna, the lord of Gokula, may that person get auspicious results by the grace of Krishna.
